Moonville
How about “Moonville” near Hocking Hills, Ohio. It was an old railroad town until it was abandonded for good in the 1960s. A leg of the old C&O tracks used to run through it until the mid-1980’s. It is rumored to be haunted by the ghosts of people run over by trains and a creepy railroad guy swinging a signal lamp. A tunnel as you approach the old town is still there (the train tracks aren’t used anymore and are being torn up). Geo-points are at 37 25’ 19”N, 122 05’ 06”W (lat/long). This is right by the Zaleski State Forest and Lake Hope in SE Ohio.
I think I’ve researched this. In my spare time, I like reading good ghost stories. :) Maybe, if I’m brave enough, I’ll do a spot on it.
