oops sorry I just saw you mention something about Ann Arbor as well. I’ve read about Peach Mountain Observatory being in disuse as well as disrepair due to light pollution. It used to be owned my U of M, so I assume it’s nearby? Sounds incredibly cool and spooky!
I’m going to have to do some research on this one, and mayhaps call some friends of mine who attend the college there. :)
