While abandoned places are interesting, many you are expressing interests in visiting them yourselves.  While there’s nothing wrong with this (without you this blog wouldn’t be here), there are a few things you need to consider before heading off. 

• Travel in groups. I can’t stress this one enough.  You never know what’s going to be in these places.  Many of them are falling apart, or there could be other dangerous individuals inside, along with wild animals. 
• Bring a cellphone for emergencies. 
• Be respectful.  If you are asked to leave, leave.  Don’t damage anything inside.  Moving objects around is alright, but do not vandalize these places.
• Go in the daylight.  Once again, these places are falling apart.  Tread carefully. 

• If the location is in a dangerous area, don’t go.  Detroit and Flint is home to many beautiful abandoned homes and factories, but I would never imagine visiting them.  Put your safety first.   

If you still wish to visit a location, I can’t stop you, but keep these things in mind, and be careful!  :)
